Checkers and Queen City Audio Video & Appliances Join Forces For Chopped Challenge

CHARLOTTE, NC, Jan. 25, 2023 Riley Nash, Logan Hutsko and Dominic Franco have been announced as the participants in the upcoming Chopped Challenge, presented by Queen City Audio Video & Appliances.

Each player will be paired up with a professional chef and tasked with making a meal for a panel of judges in front of a live audience of season-ticket holders. The winning player will earn a $5,000 donation to the charity of their choosing. Nash will be competing for Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, Hutsko will be competing for the Humane Society of Charlotte and Franco will be competing for the CJ Morgan Foundation – a military charity with a personal tie to Franco, who is a graduate of West Point and is active-duty Army.

Judges scheduled to participate are Checkers organist Greazy Keyz, Spectrum News 1’s Mike Solarte, WCCB’s Kelli Bartik and WBTV’s Nate Wimberly.

A tentative schedule for the event is as follows: Guests are scheduled to arrive by 6 p.m. and the cooking will begin around 6:30. Players/Chefs have 30 minutes to create their dishes. The plan is to have the judge's panel seated and testing selections between 7-7:30. After deliberating we will then announce the winner and present the check for the charity of their choice.

Update

The Winner of the Checkers Chopped Challenge 2023 is Logan Hutsko. A donation of $5,000 has been made to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
