We are very happy with our new cook top We like the grate configuration as it provides a large stable area for pots or frying pans to sit on and we like the simmer burner The controls are located at the front for easy access We also like the tip up grates for easy cleaning Its a real eye catcher If I would make one suggestion it would be to move the grate down closer to the burner I feel there is a lot of wasted heat and energy as a lot of heat moves around the pot rather than concentrating on the bottom The wasted heat is felt if stirring a pot and is very noticeable on your hand I feel heat and energy is being wasted unlike our old Kitchen Aid of 28 years Thanks Ken and Sheila
