Fan speed does not seem to work corectly

i purchased the 36 600 cfm black stainless samsung range hood 1 its loud much louder than i expected 2 i appear to only have 3 speeds i cannot tell any difference between high speed and boost 600cfmi spoke with samsung tech support and was told i needed to hold both the speed button low medium or high simultaniously with the boost button to activate boost mode that did not work
