We replaced a new clearly defective GE set with this Maytag set We were so happy we did These machines are quiet and it seems the cycle times are shorter than other units we have owned in the past which is helping reduce our electric spend

The end of cycle alert sound is so soft as to be useless It can barely be heard when youre standing in front of it no matter which of the three selections related to its volume is chosen Im not sure if I need a service call or this is just how bad the design is

There are some things that you expect as standard equipment when you make a purchase For example a car is expected to have wheels When you purchase a dryer there is an expectation that there is a light INSIDE the drum every dryer weve ever owned has had one and were in our 60s so weve had several from entry level to top of the line This dryer DOESNT The sales folks in most stores today dont know their merchandise Ours told us all dryers had lights and we believed them why wouldnt we lights in dryer are like wheels on a car right WRONG At least when you get this Maytag dryer I cant understand why it doesnt other than the manufacturer cheaper out figuring no one will notice until its delivered and too late In todays technology world it can be that much of a cost to add a LED light but they didnt so we now have to search for those matching socks in the dark cave that is our unlit dryer drum It sucks and buyer beware

I bought this dryer along with the matching washer for my new house Very pleased with the dryer as it has all the features and cycles I wanted for a great price I especially like the steam refresh cycle which works great for taking wrinkles out of large items such as tablecloths Controls are intuitive and very easy to use as is the lint filter Very happy with this dryer

So happy with this Machine I would recommend it to anyone who needed a new washing and drying machine
