Ive had this washer for close to a month now and so far Ive been extremely pleased with the experience I moved into a new house without appliances and was glad to get this installed right away because weve had to do a ton of washing of blankets and towels and other things used in the packing process I thought the auto detergent dispenser would be a nice perk but overall not a big deal However Ive come to really appreciate this feature as it really makes starting a load of laundry take two seconds In two clicks I can run down and get a new load going in between conference calls no problem As someone who works from home this is a game changer I wasnt sure what to expect with the mobile app connection We didnt have internet right away but the minute we did I made an effort to get my machines connected It is nice to have my phone notify when a load is finished or check how long is left As long as the door hasnt been opened to the machine you can also send commands to the unit to do xyz additional washing Mostly this has been a convenience but in all honestly its something I could definitely live without as Im not doing much remotely with my laundry Having the app reminders are nice though because my units are in the basement I could probably turn the chime loud enough to hear upstairs without a problem but I prefer the notice on my phone You also have to set the machine to accept remote directives again with each load not to get the status updates just to perform any actions This is a small hassle but I have to wonder if maybe Im just missing the setting which allows this indefinitely Lastly since we were doing so much laundry with kind of grubby moving blankets etc I noticed my machine looking a bit dirty with attached linthairetc after 10 loads and believe it or not the machine itself brought this to my attention it was right I bought the Affresh washing machine cleaning tablets and I have to say I found it to be very effective Ill try to keep the habit up of using those monthly andor as needed to keep the machine in top condition Overall as long as it continues performing as it has been Ill continue to be a very satisfied customer

Customer Service? No its "Customer Punishment!"

We were very excited to purchase this washer The large capacity and remote capabilities were very appealing We had it delivered and installed the beginning of October Initially all of the functionality was as promised Lots of cycle options the massive detergent storage was a great feature However from the very beginning the remote app was disappointing Every time I would start the app and connect to the washer the app would quit It would stay connected the second attempt but after reading others comments its clear this is a common issue Whirlpool hasnt updated its app to correct this and its disappointing they dont care to fix such a well documented issue The app issue was livable with so we just got used to this The real disappointment was when the washer stopped working this Veterans Day weekend Error code F4E4 After preforming the recommended hard reset and not solving the machines error I called in for warranty service This is where it just gets mindboggling Whirlpool only uses one authorized service provider for warranty work in the Metro DC area They were not able to schedule a tech to come out and evaluate the issue for nearly 2 weeks They also have told me the techs do not carry parts and only come out to diagnose the issue They will then order parts and return at a later time Its possible we will be out for 34 weeks on a machine that cost us over 1200 dollars and has been in service 5 weeks Whirlpool needs to get their act together Having only one service provider for a major metropolitan area is completely unacceptable There is literally nothing we can do but sit and wait We will now be paying a lot of money for remote laundry services just so our family has clean clothing for the next month Assuming Whirlpool responds to this we will be pursuing a complete return and refund for this machine Thisr new model clearly has issues and isnt reliable Their customer service is more like customer punishment Run away from this machine Go with a model thats been out for longer and with a manufacturer who takes more pride in customer service

Bought this machine and works great sensors are top notch Clothes comes out clean and well spin Only problem is with XL plus dispenser as since I removed and tried to fill closing the lower drawer will not close so unable to use

I am writing to warn anyone who is considering on purchasing a product from this company Let me tell you my story I bought a Washer 5 weeks ago It broke already I then waited 6 days for my service call On the day of the call I was notified that their call center employee did not take down my correct address The appointment was booked on Monday and I received a call on Friday the day of the scheduled service call I asked why I was not notified earlier in the week and they said they did not have an answer for me They issued me a 150 dollar check due to their incompetence I still had to miss another day of work however since I booked Friday off to be home On Monday the Technician comes in and finds out that the part needed to fix it will now need to be ordered I get a call the next day and he says that the part in NO WHERE IN NORTH AMERICA I now am required to wait 10 business days just to see if they can track down the part to my BRAND NEW machine in Europe or Asia Then if they have the part I have to wait until it is shipped Did I mention this machine is 5 weeks old I will now be without a washer for 5 weeks and no one at Whirlpool cares or is willing to stand by their product In all my life I have never dealt with a company who legit doesnt care about a proper resolution I will miss 3 days of work countless hours calling in to get it fixed and oh ya I have to go to the Laundromat to do my Laundry You have been warned proceed at your own discretion Oh and here is the best part if they dont have the part after 10 days worldwide I get a new Machine But I just have to be without a machine for 3 weeks so they can save a few dollars
